You start at the top of the north block with a glass in your hand
and finish underground, drawing wine straight from barrel with
a thief. Three hours, five pours, no script.
This is the tasting we built for people who want to understand the decisions rather than collect a list of names. You walk the blocks with whoever farmed them that week, so the answers are specific — why this row was picked four days before the one beside it, what the frost in April cost us, which barrels are going into the Vall Negre and which are being sold off.
Wear shoes you don't mind getting dusty. The walk is about a kilometre on uneven ground with one moderate climb, and the cellar sits at twelve degrees year round, so bring a layer even in August. We finish with bread, olive oil from the trees along the access road, and whatever the kitchen has that morning.
What the three hours look like
11:00
North block, on foot
A glass of the Blanc while we walk the oldest planting on the estate and talk about why it faces the wrong way on purpose.
11:45
The press house
Whole-bunch pressing, skin contact, and the difference between the two — with the equipment in front of you rather than a diagram.
12:30
Barrel hall
Three pours drawn from barrel, including one that will not be bottled for another eighteen months. Sharp elbows optional.
13:15
Long table, bread and oil
Two finished wines side by side with the barrel samples still in front of you, so the comparison is honest.

“I'd rather show you a barrel that isn't working than one that is.
You learn more from the wine we're about to sell off than from
the one we're proud of, and it's a better afternoon.”
